Fixed annuities play a vital role in helping consumers provide for their own financial security in retirement. All stakeholders touched by fixed annuities – such as government, the industry, the general public, and even competitors – share a common objective that consumer’s best interests should be served.
NAFA, as the only independent, non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to promote the awareness and understanding of fixed annuities, has created a series of principle papers to provide stakeholders with guidance and education on key issues affecting fixed annuities.
Working cooperatively with insurance companies and distribution partners, NAFA will disseminate the principle papers and make available an online summer education series. NAFA will also work directly with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and state insurance departments to make this content available to licensing programs and continuing educational courses.
